Adrian Frutiger

My artist was Adrian Fruitger, one of the twentieth century's most prominent typographers, well know for his typefaces Univers and his self named Frutiger font which is said to be one of the most important typefaces to emerge post second world war. The styles of these fonts reflect the changing time he was living in, under the influence of increasing industrialization and advertising. The faces have a more practical and basic form and come under the group 'sanserif' meaning that the characters are without serifs and have a constant stoke width (the O for example is a perfect circle).
